How many writers, in the lonely days of winter, curl up by the fire with a mug of hot chocolate and a grammar handbook to read?

Yep, I'm one of those freaks whose idea of a compliment can be "What a neat way to use an em-dash!" (Can you tell I like fiction writing?)

If you need someone who can write well, with strong grammar skills or with multiple writing styles, I can fit the bill. I'm also told—by people who would slap me if I did it poorly—that I'm excellent at rewriting and editing. I greatly enjoy performing both tasks. Unfortunately, I lack that qualifier called a degree that makes people believe you know what you're talking about.

Yes, I'm that young. I began working as a freelance writer within a year of becoming old enough to legally do so.

Rest assured that I'm as direct about my abilities as I am my age. If I don't think I can write your project well, or if I don't know, I'll tell you. Period. Maybe you'll fire me; maybe you'll be willing to help me learn. At least we'll have that known up front to prevent disappointment later. Overselling only postpones disappointment. I prefer not wasting my time or yours by using that transparent (and annoying) advertisement technique.

I mainly perform web content writing of 300-1200 words, though I also perform things like site-checking and proofreading. I also enjoy web coding as I redo the website for the Vaughn Russell Candy Kitchen (which makes excellent candies, by the way). My understanding of web coding languages particularly helps me in site checking assignments, since I can check links, grammar, and site appearance and often write up the fixes in code.

If you'd like to query me about working for you, please send me an e-mail. I'll respond as soon as possible. (As a sabbatarian, I don't do anything work-related on Sunday, including checking my messages.)

Though I use an Apple computer, I have MS Office 2004 for Mac. Available file extensions for my work include .DOC, .CWK, .RTF, .TXT, and .PDF.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Have a good day, or sleep well, whichever applies.
